OneHourNoPower

One Hour No Power took place at mid-day on July 1 st 2007. Thousands of you around the world simply ‘switched off’ for an hour and thought about changes you could make in your everyday lives that would lessen your impact on the environment.

I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined in with One Hour No Power and to all those who helped to spread the word so effectively around the world. Please drop me an email and let me know what you did with your hour and what changes you decided to make.

Many of you have been saying that One Hour No Power should become a twice-yearly or even monthly event. However, as OHNP was so much a people-powered event, I feel that it is only right and proper that I now disorganise the campaign and hand it over to you.

I hope that you will continue to hold One Hour No Power events, wherever and whenever possible, either with friends or by yourself. It’s clear from your responses that many of the decisions made during the hour, not only benefit our planet but also ourselves and our families.

Why not think of One Hour No Power as your own ‘pause button’ in an increasingly hectic world.
